We have also forgotten the next part of the King speech: “We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.”
Tell me, all people, do you remember what soul force is and how to use it? Or has it been buried for so long, that it too, has become a thing of the past, like our constitution and the intent of good health and well being that was its purpose?
In this year of 2012, we are once again voting for a person who will uphold the tenets of this country, someone who will fight for all of her people; someone who will implement the plan of the forefathers and other individuals who righteously fought for what this country stands for from the military to the individual who lives as a “good” American everyday. Or will you continue to put people into place who are living with gusto the seven deadly sins of wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy and gluttony?
Is your candidate filled with wrath, the belief that he is being wronged and denied some privilege that he thinks is due him?
Perhaps his greed is so obvious that although he has more then he will ever use in his lifetime or his children’s he’s reluctant to help others?
Is he slothful and derelict in his duty to be compassionate to his fellows?
Is his pride so great that he can’t see the worth of anyone other then those who are like him?
Does he lust for a place and position or the power to do what he wishes, rather then for what is good for all?
Is he envious of those who are of greater character then he and spend his time trying to undermine any good that they may do in order to make himself appear greater?
Is his gluttony so immense that he would ravish everything good to satisfy that gluttony?
These sins are not a Christian calling to task as we are aware that church and state are separate; but a calling to task of any who are low in character as evident of their manifesting these states of being. We only ask, that you “think” and remember, America is a great country, in spite of, or perhaps because of her sins, she is slowly blooming into a place where equality, justice and freedom for all is a continuing rallying cry for all of us to do the right thing based upon our “soul force” and not upon the mundane and material reasons that many base their actions upon.
